19th March 2024Carers are offered four, one-hour sessions where they are able to discuss the pressures and issues of the caring role and given coping mechanisms and strategies to effectively manage their caring role. These are provided either face to face, virtually on Zoom, or by telephone.

19th March 2024Working with our partner, ELATT, this learning group is for carers, to learn English as a second language, participants will have an academic year of learning including how carers can learn English to help with their caring roles through conversation with health providers.

20th March 2024This monthly forum gives carers a chance to come together and discuss their caring roles, feeding back on customer service of organisations and agencies working within Tower Hamlets, explore ideas in which Tower Hamlets can support carers, look at best practice and work in partnership with the Carers Centre to continuously improve its services. The forum enables carers and the Carers Centre to equally give to each other.

20th March 2024This monthly group is to meet and start you on your learning journey. Learning can be for career advancement and return to employment, academia or just for fun. It has been proven that learning helps maintain better wellbeing.
Young Adult Carer Peer Support GroupYoung Adult Carer Peer Support Group

20th March 2024This weekly peer support group enables Young Adult Carers to access a range of activities which are co-produced and relevant to them, such as self-care and personal empowerment workshops. They may also choose to use these sessions to discuss their caring role with staff or simply for ‘chill out’ time in order to connect with other Young Adult Carers and get a break from their caring roles. Food and drink are provided.

21st March 2024This group is for carers to learn a craft, develop a hobby, and enjoy some free time. Carers will get to have fun with other carers. This group is also a peer support group and recognises the mental health needs of carers, carers of people with a mental health issue, you can also bring the person you care for. Materials, refreshments, and fun will be supplied.

21st March 2024This weekly group enables carers feeling isolated to connect with local residents, carers will have the chance to undertake health and nutrition classes, exercise classes, advice, fun and games. We work in partnership with St Joseph’s Hospice and Tower Hamlets Public Health.

22nd March 2024Made of Money are offering a set of three simple, fun workshops to help people in Tower Hamlets get savvy about scams. There’s so much about going online that feels great: sharing news and playing games with friends, shopping for great deals and saving money by paying our bills online. But we also know that going online can be risky, with scammers and some businesses out to exploit our natural need for friendship and our desire for a bargain.
Join our workshops us for a cuppa and a chat, and we’ll share some ways to avoid the scammers and the fake offers, so you and your loved ones can enjoy your time online.

22nd March 2024Our IT suite is open to carers, carers who are students, carers writing CV’s and job applications, online food shopping or just want to check your emails once a week to catch up, meet other carers and have some mental respite. We do not have a printer and cannot print copies for you, we ask you to be proficient enough to manage on your own as staff can provide minimum support as they are busy with their own work.
