Carers hospital support
Carers hospital support
The Carers Centre Tower Hamlets is proud to support carers when they need us most. That’s why we have a dedicated Hospital Carers Support Coordinator who can help if the person you care for is admitted to hospital.
Having a friend or loved one in hospital can be stressful and confusing. Getting information about the patient’s condition, visits and ensuring they have everything they need can be difficult, particularly since the pandemic when access may be restricted.
Our Carers Hospital Support Co-ordinator can help with;
- Accessing the hospital safely
- Getting updates on the patient
- Information, advice and advocacy
- Kidney Carers support Group
- Discharge support
- Community Support
- Respite care
- Entitlements, including benefits and carers’ assessments
- PPE for Carers in Tower Hamlet
The service is based in the Royal London Hospital where we work closely with the hospital wards and departments to help us identify carers who need our support.
You can refer yourself, or online or contact Ayeda Zuba, Carers Hospital Support Coordinator by calling 07366 977 103 or emailing ayeda@ccth.org.uk.
