Carers hospital support

Carers hospital support

The Carers Centre Tower Hamlets is proud to support carers when they need us most. That’s why we have a dedicated Carers Hospital Support Coordinator who can help if the person you care for is admitted to Royal London Hospital. Having a friend or loved one in hospital can be stressful and confusing, our support worker can provide you with the advice and information needed through your carers journey at the hospital.

For all carers aged 16+.

Our Carers Hospital Support Co-ordinator can help with:

  • Information, advice, and advocacy
  • Carers support Group and drop-in sessions within the hospital.
  • Discharge support
  • Support in the community after discharge
  • Carers needs assessments and respite care
  • Benefit entitlements, including Personal Independent Payment (PIP) and Attendance Allowance.

The service is based in the Royal London Hospital (Patient & Family Contact Centre, by Stepney Way Entrance) where we work closely with the hospital wards and departments to help us identify carers who need our support.

You can refer yourself, or online or contact Fathama Rahman, Carers Hospital Support Worker by calling 07366 977 103 or emailing fathama@ccth.org.uk.
