Each month Fathama our Hospital Worker leads a drop in session for carers who are caring for their elderly and frail loved ones so, please come and pop in if you can make it and get some wonderful support, information and advice and you get the chance to meet other carers who experiencing the same things.
This monthly Peer Support Group is for carers experiencing a wide range of bereavement,
grief, and loss related issues. Caring for someone who passes away, a sudden death of a family member or friend, a terminal diagnosis or supporting someone with Dementia can have a big impact on your wellbeing.

The peer group is monthly and is for carers of anyone who presents with challenging or difficult behaviour, and this give carers a chance to come together to look at solutions and be able to connect with other carers who just get the situation you find yourself in. There will conversational topics, sometimes consultation and ideas for caring for someone within the client group.
This weekly peer support group enables Young Adult Carers to access a range of activities which are co-produced and relevant to them, such as self-care and personal empowerment workshops. They may also choose to use these sessions to discuss their caring role with staff or simply for ‘chill out’ time in order to connect with other Young Adult Carers and get a break from their caring roles. Food and drink are provided.
This group is for carers to learn a craft, develop a hobby, and enjoy some free time. Carers will get to have fun with other carers. This group is also a peer support group and recognises the mental health needs of carers, carers of people with a mental health issue, you can also bring the person you care for. Materials, refreshments, and fun will be supplied.
This new monthly group is being run by Anita a carer health champion and this group will look at women’s health, swap tips for the menopause, women’s health, how sisterhood and connection can support good emotional and physical wellbeing.

As it is world Diabetes Day, we have secured an educational and informative workshop being delivered by Mile End Hospital Diabetes Team and how carers can be proactive about their health as well as Diabetes avoidance. Learn how what we eat, how we exercise and how to avoid stress,
The Workshop will be followed by our monthly Good Vibe afternoon organised by our Carer Champions as this month’s theme will be a healthy picnic, we encourage carers to come to both the workshop and bring their preferred food and stay for a chat and picnic.
This new monthly group is aimed at any male carer who wishes to spend time with other male carers and see how camaraderie can help you with your caring role, you can talk if you want or NOT, chat about the issues faced by men in today’s world but you might just want to talk football?

This monthly forum gives carers a chance to come together and discuss their caring roles, feeding back on customer service of organisations and agencies working within Tower Hamlets, explore ideas in which Tower Hamlets can support carers, look at best practice and work in partnership with the Carers Centre to continuously improve its services. The forum enables carers and the Carers Centre to equally give to each other.

We will also be having a trip to the Canary Crossrail Place to look at our new community garden and start preparing for winter plants. We are working in partnership with the Canary Wharf Group, and we are encouraging carers to sign up, volunteer and help develop a wonderful herb garden which can aid wellbeing – if this sounds like something you would like to attend.
This peer group advises and works collaboratively with the Wellbeing Academy to develop activities that are coproduced, have a direct access to carers and is a partnership for better wellbeing.

This learning workshop is delivered by Alzheimer’s Society to new carers of someone with Dementia. This gives carers a chance to learn a more in-depth knowledge on dementia related issues and what you can do as a carer to support your loved one with Dementia.
