Be Active

We believe being active is not only great for your physical health and fitness it also has great advantages by:

  • Improving your mental wellbeing
  • Raising your self-esteem
  • Helping you to set goals, meet challenges and helps you to achieve them.
  • Helping you to sleep better.
  • Equipping you to manage your caring role.

Here are some of the ways in which we help carers to be more active:

  • Meditation at the London Buddhist Centre.
  • Walking and Talking Group
  • OpenLearn Physical Activities for health and wellbeing in the caring role.

Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Carers who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity gain improved health benefits.
