World Mental Health Day – Reach Out for Support

September 30th, 2025

Help is available, you don’t need to wait for a crisis to ask for it

Reach Out for Support: 111, Option 2Dial 111 for support
This World Mental Health Day is a reminder that none of us are alone when it comes to looking after our mental health. Support is available – and it’s just a phone call away.

By calling 111 and selecting Option 2, you will be connected directly to the Mental Health Hub, where you can speak with a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) or a Mental Health Nurse (MHN). These specially trained advisors are there to listen, provide guidance, and link you to the right services for a wide range of concerns – from anxiety and low mood to thoughts of self-harm.

Importantly, this service isn’t only for people in crisis. If you’re worried about your own wellbeing or concerned about someone else’s mental health, reaching out early can make a real difference. The earlier support is provided, the better the outcomes for everyone.

So, on this World Mental Health Day, remember: help is available, you don’t need to wait for a crisis to ask for it.
