September 29th, 2026

Are you currently off work and receiving a fit note due to a musculoskeletal (MSK) condition such as ongoing back, joint or muscle problems, or because of a mental health condition? If you are, a new pilot project may be able to help.

health and employment projectWhat is the Health & Employment Project?
The Health & Employment Project aims to improve health, wellbeing and work readiness by providing targeted support to help people return to work, reduce long-term sickness absence and build sustainable wellbeing for the future.

Who is eligible?
The pilot is open to people aged 18-50 who have been off work for four weeks or more, are registered with Bromley by Bow or Wellington Way GP practices, and meet the project’s eligibility criteria. Importantly, unpaid carers are welcome to take part if they meet the criteria.

This is an opportunity to access personalised support that could help you improve your wellbeing, build confidence and explore your next steps towards employment or returning to work.
