This groups aim is getting a broad range of carers who care for loved ones with complex or different needs, to chat and swap stories, ideas that help maintain a good, safe and happier caring role. Having others that you can connect with, who understand the complexities of caring is a positive way of maintaining better mental wellbeing and having a giggle and having a mental break gives you an opportunity to share positive experiences.
The group is in partnership with Carers Centre Tower Hamlets, Community Learning Disability Service, Autism Service Tower Hamlets and CREATE Day Centre and each month there will be representatives from the partner organisation on hand to give advice. Most importantly your peers will be on hand to swap tips, give advice and welcome you into their caring presence. Please email tony@ccth.org.uk so that he can arrange for this to happen, there will also be a Bengali interpreter. So come and enjoy the shared experience of peer support….
