Hello Everyone – Welcome back to our new way of doing the Blog …

Welcome back to our new way of doing the Blog …

To start the new style blog, I just wanted to tell you how it is going to work and to ask carers to read the blog because the information and the guide to next weeks activities will only be in this mail out on a Friday whenever it is possible (i.e. when I am not on leave).
Basically we need you to be a little more proactive by reading the blog, remember the times and events of the activities you want to join as you will not get the reminders you previously did due to us being unable to send out group emails.  Many of you will be pleased with that as we have been told by some carers that they did not want so many emails per week, with that in  mind you will receive one email with a link to the blog and remember do not delete the email as you may need to remind yourself or click on a Zoom link later that week.
So, I hope you all are well and that your health is the best it can be and that you are enjoying the warmer weather, I know I am as I write this in my shorts LOL, I can tell it is getting warmer and sunnier because my rescue dog Momo likes to sit out in the sun, I think because he was rescued from the streets he still has that outdoor love of sunshine.
I just want to say please join  in the activities organised when you can as it really has been proven that it enables better wellbeing.  a recent feedback from carers stated that 15% of carers felt less stressed, 23% felt less isolated and that their emotional wellbeing had increased by 58%.  Now that is amazing, so if you are wondering what is on next week here are some of the highlights.
Next week we have the first of our quarterly workshops on Boundaries, Self Care & Healthy Relationships.  this workshop explores how carers can have boundaries within their caring role, how to self-care in life and what a healthy relationships look like and how to report an abusive or unhealthy relationship.  if you want to attend please email wellbeing@ccth.org.uk to get a place.
We have our Arts, Crafts & Conversation – Embroidery and this month the carer champions will be sharing their expertise on all forms of Embroidery so why not come and have a go, stay for refreshments and that all important conversation, just come along and know need to book a place as all is welcome.
So always check out the calendar on our website for more details of what is on and when https://ccth.org.uk events-activities/
Do not forget that in and around our caring roles you need time for yourself, respite, peer support, exercise, mindfulness, Gardening, creative outlets and all these activities are available to you via The Wellbeing Academy, just check the calendar and please, please book your place by emailing wellbeing@ccth.org.uk
