Carers Overnight Retreat

Carers Wellbeing Academy logoThe Carers overnight retreat is a great opportunity for carers to get away and switch off for a couple of days. The retreat is provided by Breathing Space, a project run by London Buddhist Centre and it is based at their bespoke retreat centre situated in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Carers can take part in meditation and other group sessions, or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Here are some of the things carers said about the most recent retreat:

“One of the most amazing experiences of my adult life; it’s been overwhelming in the way I feel able to move forward. “

“I made lots of friends. We really got on really well with each other. “

“It was a very well organised, well coordinated, fantastic retreat, just what I needed to gather more energy to go home and care for my loved ones. “

The residential retreats are FREE for carers and all travel and meals are included. The food provided is vegetarian and suitable for people who have religious diet restrictions (halal, kosher etc). 2 retreats are run over 1 week: Monday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Friday.

You can find details about upcoming retreat dates and all the other activities provided by the Carers Centre in our monthly newsletter.
