    Our IT suite is open to carers, carers who are students, carers writing CV’s and job applications, online food shopping or just want to check your emails once a week to catch up, meet other carers and have some mental respite.  We do not have a printer and cannot print copies for you, we ask you to be proficient enough to manage on your own as staff can provide minimum support as they are busy with their own work.

    grief, and loss related issues. Caring for someone who passes away, a sudden death of a family member or friend, a terminal diagnosis or supporting someone with Dementia can have a big impact on your wellbeing.

    Young Adult Carer Peer Support Group

    This weekly peer support group enables Young Adult Carers to access a range of activities which are co-produced and relevant to them, such as self-care and personal empowerment workshops. They may also choose to use these sessions to discuss their caring role with staff or simply for ‘chill out’ time in order to connect with other Young Adult Carers and get a break from their caring roles. Food and drink are provided.

    This group is for carers to learn a craft, develop a hobby, and enjoy some free time. Carers will get to have fun with other carers. This group is also a peer support group and recognises the mental health needs of carers, carers of people with a mental health issue, you can also bring the person you care for.  Materials, refreshments, and fun will be supplied. This session is being hosted by UCL who will teach Participants to create a small fabric pouch or coin purse, incorporating traditional Bengali motifs. This project introduces basic sewing and fabric decoration in a culturally engaging way.

    This weekly group enables carers feeling isolated to connect with local residents, carers will have the chance to undertake health and nutrition classes, exercise classes, advice, fun and games.  We work in partnership with St Joseph’s Hospice and Tower Hamlets Public Health.

There’s so much about going online that feels great: sharing news and playing games with friends, shopping for great deals and saving money by paying our bills online. But we also know that going online can be risky, with scammers and some businesses out to exploit our natural need for friendship and our desire for a bargain.

    Join our workshops us for a cuppa and a chat, and we’ll share some ways to avoid the scammers and the fake offers, so you and your loved ones can enjoy your time online.
