Hello Everyone
Firstly just wanted to let you know that today’s Carers Mental Health Programme/Talking Therapies has been cancelled due to faciliator being unwell. The Session will be re-scheduled for latwer this month, so watch this space for updated details.
The Session was/will be on Self-Worth & Self Belief, What actually is self-worth and belief – what are the differences between these and self-esteem. We will look at why it is important to have self-worth and belief, especially within the role of a carer and ways to improve this. So if this sounds like something you fancy attendiong then drop me an email tony@ccth.org.uk to reserve your place.
Don’t forget the Tuesday Social Club is now at the Carers Centre and not via Zoom – so see you at 2pm for our weekly get together of fun, gossip and caring…
So it is August, technically the last month of summer before my favourite sesaon is upon us Autumn. Mind you with the wind, rain and wind you would think that it is Autumn already but no complaints from me. I do hope you have a wonderful August and I have to mention it is my birthday month LOL
Don’t forget Oxford House is offering a small group of carers the chance to attend Friday Music concerts. on Friday 13th August to see Sherika Sherard’s show 5pm – 6pm or a special jazz concert we are hosting on 27 August.
If you are interested then email: tony@ccth.org.uk for a place but as I say places are limited and I will need to know by Friday 6th August
Jaypharm Chemist is now a Vaccine Centre

Take part in the East London Pandemic recovery survey
Residents from ethnic minority backgrounds are invited to take part in a survey to help shape the Covid-19 recovery in East London. The survey is particularly interested in hearing from people who identify as Black African, Black Caribbean, Somali, South Asian or Bangladeshi.
This anonymous survey will help identify the top priorities for the community to help address the severe impact of the pandemic on ethnic minority communities in East London.
A summer of activities and play
We’ve teamed up with partner organisations to offer an action-packed programme of online and face-to-face summer activities, including athletics, drama, theatre, family play, cooking workshops, teddy bear picnics and more, to support families in keeping children learning, entertained and active this summer.
As well as hosting free events, we’ve invested £10 million as part of our parks capital programme. The programme includes improving play facilities to encourage families to make the most of the borough’s outdoor spaces, especially on bright summer days.
