Hello Everyone

Just a reminder that there will be no blog over the next two weeks, have i mentioned that I am off for two weeks’ leave and I am also moving house.  I have mixed feelings really, looking forward to spending more time with my loved ones but I could do without the hassle and energy needed for moving.  I should not grumble and I am sure you will hear all about on my return.

So I am asking all you Carers to look after yourselves, keep out of mischief if possible, rest when able and do at least one new thing new for example get a take away from a countries cuisine that you have never tried, join a new group at the Carers Centre and make new friends, tell someone NO and stick to your convictions but mostly enjoy the remaining summer and a big thanks to the Tower Hamlets Carers because you have a big role to play in your own homes, local community and the national consciousness.

Can I ask carers to be mindful when attending activities at the centre that staff are few and cannot spend the hours chatting in the way we were able on occasions.  The team is relatively small and time is scarce and workloads have doubled.  Personally I think that is an example of the CCTH being an essential, dedicated service that really understands its service users

Webinar: How schools are staying Covid-safe this Autumn

After the recent lockdowns, everyone is looking forward to a school year where teaching and learning can continue in best place possible, the classroom. Whilst the risk from Covid-19 is lower, it remains, so schools across Tower Hamlets will continue to take steps to protect children, staff and the wider community.

Join this webinar on Wednesday 8 September, 12.30pm to 1.30pm where we will give parents the chance to learn more about the safety measures our schools will use from September, ask questions and hear from local decision-makers and public health experts.
