Hello Everyone
I want to tell you all about yesterday’s amazing PICNIC IN THE PARK event at Victoria Park. it was wonderful to see carers that I have not seen in over a year, carers came with their Mums, with their Nephew’s and a truely happy time was had by all. I want thank carers for sharing their food, that was my favourite part of course. Also a big thank you to Tracey and Luis the Carers Academy volunteers for their help and happiness. We were very lucky with the weather and that helps a lot for outdoor events.
Carers reported that they would like to similar easy, low cost outdoor events in the future, so if you have any ideas that you want to discuss with me then email: tony@ccth.org.uk and we can come with other quick win ideas.
Jaypharm Chemist is now a Vaccine Centre
The Chemist opposite the Carers Centre is also a Vaccine centre, so carers can get their vaccine if they are visiting the centre for an appointment or activity. So book your vaccine They are a friendly bunch and are there to help so pop in and keep yourself safe and well.

The form is quick and easy to use and is now in place alongside our dedicated helpline, which you can call on 020 7364 3030 to book appointments and ask questions.
Remember, if you don’t want to book many of our clinics are walk-in.
Have your say on new Brick Lane artwork to mark Bangladesh@50
Members of the public, including residents, businesses and visitors are invited to have their say on a new piece of public artwork in Brick Lane to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bangladeshi Independence.
Artists have been asked to draw inspiration from the area’s rich history, the diverse communities in Tower Hamlets and the range of commerce and trade that form part of the borough’s heritage.

Easing out of lockdown will allow us to get back to the people and things we love, but going “back to normal” may also bring worry or concern for many of us.
London is full of amazing people and communities who have pulled together throughout the pandemic. Our city works best when we all look out for each other.
Whilst returning to normal, make sure to take some time to check in with friends, colleagues & loved ones.
For those who may be feeling worried or facing uncertainty, remember, you are not alone. Thrive LDN’s website has a range of resources to help you with your mental health and wellbeing, and some ways to get support if you are finding things hard.

A summer of activities and play
We’ve teamed up with partner organisations to offer an action-packed programme of online and face-to-face summer activities, including athletics, drama, theatre, family play, cooking workshops, teddy bear picnics and more, to support families in keeping children learning, entertained and active this summer.
As well as hosting free events, we’ve invested £10 million as part of our parks capital programme. The programme includes improving play facilities to encourage families to make the most of the borough’s outdoor spaces, especially on bright summer days.
