Hello I am back from my two weeks leave and house moving and I hope you aree all doing well and keeping safe. What have you all been up to? How is your caring role going? Are you managaing or do you need support? If so then do not forget to get in contact with the centre or team members as we are here to help…
So we are now in Autumn and I have noticed it is getting darker for longer in the mornings and it is much more duifficult to get out of bed, we have been promised that the weather is getting cooler and rain is on the way for some. I do not know about you but Autumn is my favourite time of the year and I really love it when the trees turn to reds and oranges, it is cooler but sunny and you have to wear extra layers, the leaves start to fall, so you can imagine how excited I am at the moment.
I always ask but if any carer wants to write or tell me a story about their experiences of Autumn that they are happy for me to share on the blog, I would really appreciate it and if so please email me email@example.com

New artwork at Idea Store Whitechapel to mark 50th anniversary of Bangladesh
A giant piece of artwork comprising the word BANGLA, has been unveiled at Idea Store Whitechapel as part of ongoing events to commemorate 50 years of the independence of Bangladesh.
Devised by the council, the National Portrait Gallery and artist Ruhul Abdin, the installation will be on display until 2022.
The artwork is accompanied by a history exhibition, which tells the story of the Liberation War of 1971, the contribution of Tower Hamlets residents to the independence struggle, and the importance of the Bengali language then and now.
It’s always a joy to get in touch to tell you about what we have coming up and I’m really pleased to be able to share with you two events that we’d love to see you at. We’re back with our online ‘Time For A Cuppa’ on Wednesday 22nd September at 10.30am. This month join musician Liv McLennan as we go ‘Back to School’ in a fun, interactive musical session exploring playtimes, school dinners, sports days and more!
This event will take place online via zoom –everyone is welcome and you can book here (link also below) or by emailing me. I’ll send out the link and joining instructions a few days before the workshop. I can’t wait to see everyone!
I am also pleased to invite you to our first onsite workshop. I realise that you are not all local so this may not be applicable to you all – but for those of you who are Londoners I’d love to invite you to the Museum of London Docklands for Time Together on Thursday 30th September at 10.30am. Led by theatre artist/storyteller Bernadette Russell we will delve into the stories contained in our powerful collections through storytelling and theatre. Ignite your creativity and enjoy companionship as we discover some of the secrets of the museum.
If you’d like to join us IN PERSON you can book here (link also below).
Both events are free.
